When will it be available?
It will be gradually rolled out between 26 – 30 July 2021.
What has improved?
- More formatting options: pencil thickness, fonts, shapes, colour fills, arrows
- Usability: no more accidentally erasing the entire whiteboard when you only meant to remove part of an annotation
- Breakout groups: annotate a file in the main room then share it with the breakout groups, and vice versa.
- Annotation persistence: you can now annotate the whiteboard, change slide, and when you navigate back to the previous slide the annotations are still there
Tips
Pointer tool
The new whiteboard does not include a pointer. Blackboard suggest drawing your own using the arrow tool, then moving it as you need.
A blank multi-page whiteboard
Create a blank file of several pages to have a multi-page whiteboard.
