Blackboard Collaborate: Maintenance notice

Blackboard have advised us there will be scheduled maintenance taking place for Blackboard Collaborate between 0700 – 1100 on Thursday 11th March (see details for other timezones).

Please note that this relates to Collaborate only and no other parts of Blackboard are involved.

Blackboard advise that users may experience intermittent availability during the maintenance window but that Collaborate will still be operational during this time. Please note that no technical issues were reported for the previous maintenance window and large group teaching activities were undertaken >without problems.

If you decide to use Collaborate for teaching during the maintenance window, you are advised to notify students that they may experience some connectivity issues. If you decide that it would be preferable to use a different system for teaching activities, advice about use of Microsoft Teams as an alternative approach is outlined in TLC.

You can check the status of the system via Blackboard’s service status page on the day.
