Collaborate Recording Conversions Problem
It transpires that there is a problem with the recording converter that turns standard Collaborate recordings into mp4 videos. From Saturday 22nd February 2014 at 07:00pm to Sunday 23rd February at 01:00am Blackboard Collaborate will be updated. No down time is anticipated but it’s possible that Collaborate maybe intermittently unavailable during this period.

Collaborate Fixed!
Thank you for your patients regarding the problems we have been experiencing with Collaborate since Jan 4th 2014. I can now confirm that recordings are working again and as far as I can tell everything is working as expected. If you find this not to be the case please get in touch.
Collaborate Problems Partially Resolved
It appears that the problems we have been experiencing have been partially resolved. Live sessions should now be working as normal. Currently all recordings remain inaccessible and this is likely to continue until the end of the week. We apologies for any inconvenience caused but this entire episode has been totally beyond our control.
Collaborate Currently Not Working
We are sorry to announce that Collaborate is currently not working. It appears that all of our system accounts have been deactivated which means that no Live sessions or recordings can be accessed. We are working with Collaborate support to resolve this issue. This post will be updated as more information becomes available.
OS X 10.8.4+ Problems Resolved
I’m pleased to announce that as of 31/10/2013 the issues that were stopping users using OS X 10.8.4 and above from connecting to Blackboard Collaborate sessions have been resolved. Much of the help content provided by Blackboard Collaborate that is available from this site is in pdf format. Previously when navigating to a page that contained this content you would have to click a link to download the pdf and wait for it to open in your plug-in or viewer of choice.
